    Our talents

    The stories of our talents

    Simone

During her HBO studies, Simone realized it wasn’t the right fit for her. While working at Hornbach, she developed a keen interest in technology, particularly in electrical work. A quick learner and problem solver, she embraces challenges and thinks positively.

    Yvon

During her search for a new challenge, she quickly came into contact with Women in Technics.
The transition went smoothly, and in no time she had started her new job.
“What I appreciate about the DevelopHer trainings is that everything can be discussed openly,” Yvon explains. “It makes working in a male-dominated industry so much more enjoyable.”

    Yris

Despite her experience in the cycling industry, Yris chose to pursue a program through Women in Technics to obtain all the necessary certifications. A hands-on problem solver, Yris is highly creative and enjoys working with her hands. In her spare time, she runs a creative business where she designs bags made from recycled bicycle tires.

    Nanette

Nanette has already made a significant career switch. Although she studied Integral Safety Studies, she had always wanted to drive large buses from a young age. Before taking this leap, she had already retrained as a coach driver. Nanette is eager to learn, goal-oriented, and fully ready for her next career switch at Stedin as a technician.

    Lotte

After earning her Bachelor’s degree, Lotte started working as a delivery driver. This had nothing to do with her education, and she quickly realized she wanted to be physically active. Her next ambition was to obtain her C driver’s license, which she achieved. So what’s the next step after becoming a truck driver? We had to wait a bit longer to find the right opportunity for Lotte, but ultimately it worked out! This energetic, intelligent, and eager-to-learn 27-year-old is now working at Mammoet.
